The Gold Coast - Tropical
paradise with great surf! There's a clear view of the city of
Surfers Pardise across
the bay from Coolangatta. The tall building in the center is
80 stories tall
the tallest building in the southern hemisphere. (Photos taken
week of March 15, 2005)

The line up at the Super Bank is unbelievably long-it begins
at Snapper rocks, shoots through to Rainbow beach, on to
Greenmount Point down the beach to Kirra. It is the fastest
wave I have ever surfed. We are staying
right in front, surfing three times a day. To top it off we
scored a great swell, the locals said it is the best
its been this year.

Snapper Rocks, Dylan and I were up early checking the waves
at Snapper.

I took this photo Saturday morning, before paddling out - I
could not believe my eyes! The surf was
well overhead and grinding down the beach, This wave is freight
train, I surfed the best right tubes of
my life on this day! I got tubed three times on one wave,
with at least tweleve turns of the top, the wave
is so fast and long your legs finally give out.

Maria surfed Kirra, down the beach. I wasn't quick enough with
the camera to get a shot of her tube ride....
