Explanation of glass etching/carving:

Every piece is done by hand from beginning to end. First, a piece is selected(crystal bowl, glassware, plate glass, etc.) This could be known as the canvas. A design is decided, which is then drawn out onto a certain vinyl, depending on whether the glass will be carved(depth), or etched(surface). Once the design is drawn onto the vinyl, it is placed onto the glass, and cut, using precision blades. Depending on the desired effect, multiple sandblasting tools can be used, as well as a high pressure compressor, to power the blasting. A pressure pot is used to carve the glass away and give the piece depth and dimension. Siphon guns and airbrush type guns are used to etch the surface, and create tones. Any and all methods can be mixed to create a wide array of imagery.

All designs are original and many pieces are one of a kind. But since each is done by hand, even like designs will vary.

Painted glassware should be washed by hand to ensure life of color.
